About Me

Hi! I graduated many moons ago from Virginia Tech with a degree in Fisheries Science. I promptly moved to Chicago to pursue an acting career. When I returned to the Shenandoah Valley, I decided to go back to school to get a Master’s in Teaching from Mary Baldwin. I've been teaching at LEES since January 2011 and think it's the best little school in the world!

I run my own children’s theatre company (Impressions Theatre) and travel to libraries during the summer. Also, I've written several books. The Great Bacon Escape is one your kids might like to read.

I come from a family of teachers. My mother retired after 40 some years at Verona Elementary and my wife teaches 1st grade at North River Elementary. I have four kids: a 7 year old, a 4 year old, a 17 year old, and a 20 year old. We live in Staunton and I make this commute every day because LEES is a great place to work!
