Using MyVRSpot for YouTube Videos

Use MyVRSpot to share YouTube Videos with Students

Why is this step needed?  RCPS students have varying degrees of availability to YouTube.  YouTube is an Additional Service, and some parents do not allow their students to access the YouTube website.  For those students over 13 years old (I believe RCPS designated this as “high school only”), they may access YouTube, but only certain videos are allowed (and we realize that many school-inappropriate videos still make it through this filter).  Therefore, the BEST way to share educational and relevant videos with our students is with MyVRSpot.

At this time, we are recommending FigJam as a replacement for Google JamboardThere’s no need for immediate action; however, if you’d like to start exploring FigJam, you can go to https://www.figma.com/figjam/.

Explore app details, features, and resources at the Chromebook App Hub.

Also, I am including GREAT resources from Tom Mullaney.  He is a Google Certified Trainer and Innovator, who specialized in Google Jamboard and now partners with FigJam to create tutorials.  His insight is ideal for teachers making this transition.
