Hall of Fame Spotlight:
Chase Raynes, ERHS Class of 2012, made her mark as a two-sport athlete. In softball, she earned First Team All-District & All-Region honors and was named District Player of the Year. On the basketball court, she led ERHS to a State Championship, earning District, Region & State Player of the Year in 2012. She credits sports for friendships, memories, and lifelong lessons in teamwork, discipline & resilience. Congrats, Chase!

Hall of Fame Spotlight:
Hunter Hensley, ERHS Class of 2012, captained the first Eagle baseball team under Coach David Scott. A standout catcher & pitcher, he earned 1st-Team District Catcher (2011–12), 1st-Team District Pitcher, Shenandoah District Player of the Year, and VHSL All-Star honors. Hunter says this recognition brings back many great memories of time spent on the field and the people he shared it with, and thanks his family, teammates & coaches. Congrats, Hunter!

Hall of Fame Spotlight:
Sarah Cameron, ERHS Class of 2013, excelled in basketball and tennis, winning 2 state hoops titles with a 101–17 record and posting a 44–6 singles and 49–1 doubles tennis mark with a state doubles crown. She was the 2013 VHSL Female Athlete of the Year, WHSV-TV3 Student Athlete of the Year, VIAAA Claudia Dodson Award, and the Soaring Eagle Character Counts award at East Rockingham. Sarah credits her family, coaches, and teammates for the honor, and says these individuals believed in her, even when she didn’t believe in herself. Congrats, Sarah!

Hall of Fame Spotlight:
Jessica Lam, ERHS Class of 2013, was a three-sport standout and 1,000-point scorer, earning District, Region & State Player of the Year in basketball. At Bridgewater College, she continued to shine, earning ODAC Player of the Year, All-American Honorable Mention, and setting multiple scoring records. Jessica calls this honor a humbling milestone and thanks her family, friends, teammates & coaches. She hopes her journey inspires young athletes to pursue their dreams with discipline and confidence. Congrats, Jessica!

Roger grew up loving sports, served in the U.S. Army, and later became a beloved East Rock bus driver & mentor. He cheered athletes, offered wisdom, and built lasting friendships, showing that sports are about people, not the scoreboard.

Eric Baylor, a 1986 graduate of Turner Ashby High School, was a standout in football and track, earning All-State honors and competing at James Madison University. After his playing days, Eric became a dedicated educator and coach, eventually serving as the first principal of East Rockingham High School. Under his leadership, ERHS earned 3 state, 20 regional, and countless district championships. Eric’s legacy of discipline, teamwork, and resilience continues to shape East Rock today.
