Rockfort Ventures Club is a virtual entity operating under the aegis of RECAL(https://nittrichyalumni.org)
Key objectives
The Club will be a growth catalyst for Alumni- founded ventures by providing an ecosystem for investment, marketing, networking and other strategic support.
· Serve as a platform, and promote/organize events for connecting Entrepreneurs with those Alumni who can support them with investment, advise/guidance, networking, etc in their personal capacity by way of
i. conducting business pitch sessions for Entrepreneurs across relevant audience with the purpose of attracting investments from Investors
ii. providing frameworks for collaboration for Entrepreneur and Investors, through seminars, webinars, etc
iii. encouraging partnerships of Entrepreneurs with other NIT, Trichy Alumni led companies
iv. encouraging and supporting Entrepreneurs to promote each other’s products and companies
v. providing introductions to third parties– either individually or collectively
vi. offering mentorship and guidance to Entrepreneurs
· Arrange lectures by eminent Alumni and other eminent professionals which will benefit all the Members and Entrepreneurs.
Key tenets
· Only NITT Alumni can become members of the Club. NITT Entrepreneur wanting to make a pitch need not be Member of the Club.
· Startups that will be showcased by the Club will be NITT Alumni promoted entities, with NITT Alumni holding a minimum of 10% stake in them
· Members would be making investments, singly or jointly, in their individual capacities. Consequently, risk and reward would be borne solely by the Members.
Membership
· Any Alumnus/Alumna committed to set aside quality time in supporting Entrepreneur through investments in the ventures of Entrepreneurs can become a Member
· Fee :Non-refundable payable in advance.
a. 1 Year : Rs 5000
b. 2 Years : Rs 9000
c. 3 Years : Rs 12000
· Members shall adhere to the specified Code of Conduct under the By-Laws of the Club
Operations
· Interim Governing Committee, working closely with RECAL, is coordinating the initial activities related to operationalizing the Club.
· When the number of members reach 30, and Governing Committee elected by the Members will take over the Operations of the Club
