Dear Parents,
Hello and welcome back to school! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Mr. Britt, and I feel so fortunate to be your child's teacher this year! I am looking forward to an exceptionally exciting and productive academic year.
As you may or may not already know, our 7th and 8th grade program at Rockford is departmentalized. That means your child will rotate to one other 7th and 8th grade teacher during the school day. Students assigned to my homeroom will begin the day in my room. I will be teaching Math, History, and PE. Next, our class will go to Mrs. Acosta’s class for Language Arts and Science for the remainder of the day.
In my classroom, I work hard to promote a tight-knit community that is encouraging, safe, fair, and fun. My goal is to challenge each and every student and watch them grow to their full potential. I work hard all year long doing this by building a classroom culture that encourages risk-taking thinking, respect, trust, and a sense of ownership among students. I truly understand the enormity of my job and I relish in the responsibility and the rewards. I also believe that parents, teachers, and students must work as a team to achieve our highest potential.
If you have a question about a particular subject, it is best to contact Me or Mss. Acosta by email.
