Professional Profile

Hello! My name is Mrs. Polly Trandahl. While it feels surreal to be starting my 37th year in education, I know that helping students thrive will always be my purpose. It is a privilege to teach in the Rockford School District and I am so fortunate to be lead by a great team of administrators and feel supported by the great staff who work  for the Rockford Area Schools.  I have worked in all grade levels to include preschool-12th grade now and wherever I'm at, whatever I'm doing , that's my favorite.  

My background includes a B.S. in Education from UW-La Crosse, an M.S. in Elementary and Middle School Counseling from UW-River Falls, and a Reading Licensure from St. Cloud State. I love my role at RHS, where I will always work to the best of my ability  to help students build confidence in reading and math. I also thoroughly enjoy teaching the 10th-grade AVID Elective—a fantastic program that gives students the tools they need to become lifelong learners and prepare for college and future careers.
