Professional Biography
Hello! My name is Laura Farmer.
I teach 3rd grade at Rockford Elementary Arts Magnet School. It will be my 13th year teaching. I received my undergraduate degree from University of Wisconsin-River Falls. My master's degree was earned through St. Mary's University. Hobbies I enjoy are reading, biking, scrapbooking, woodworking, and traveling. Last summer, my husband and I welcomed our beautiful baby boy, George. It has been fun to watch him learn and develop new skills like crawling and standing up.
It's a new school year! I am excited for the 2025-2026 school year and can't wait to meet your son or daughter. I look forward to being his or her teacher and watching the growth that takes place over the course of the year. A few important content areas we will cover are main idea and details, text features, cause and effect, multiplication, division, fractions, and graphing. We will also use technology.
