This course uses the IB world curriculum in order to develop skills of textual analysis and understanding of both literary and non-literary texts. We will focus on the way in which meaning is created and received and how culture affects these processes. Texts will be chosen from a variety of sources, genres, media, and places around the world.

This course is co-seated with St. Cloud State University courses: English 191 Introduction to Rhetorical and Analytical Writing and English 201 Classics of Literature. At the end of Year 2 students who score a C or better will receive credits for both courses.
