Professional Profile

I graduated magna cum laude from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2009 with a degree in Physical Education, School Health, and Developmental/Adaptive Physical Education where I also participated in cross country and track and field. I received my Master's of Education in Positive Coaching and Athletic Leadership from the University of Missouri, Mizzou in 2021.

My teaching career began in 2009 and has included teaching assignments in the Minnetonka Public School District, The Schools of Eastern Carver County, and the Hayfield Community School District. I began teaching at Rockford High School in 2016 and I've taught health, health careers, sports science, individual fitness, team and dual sports, AVID10, and AVID 11.

I also served on the 2017 Minnesota Physical Education Standards Review Committee with the Minnesota Department of Education, was named 2020 MNSHAPE Health Teacher of the Year, 2022 SHAPE America Central District Health Teacher of the year, and the 2022 SHAPE America National Health Teacher of the Year.
