Mrs. Kaufman

The Rockford community holds a special place in my heart, and my roots here run deep. My family has lived in the Rockford area for more than 50 years, and I graduated from Rockford High School in 2006. I spent many summers volunteering with the Rockford Area Historical Society at the Stork House, and I served as a Rockford Ambassador from 2006–2007.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls and my Master of Education from The College of St. Scholastica. Most recently, I earned my Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas and completed my K–12 principal licensure requirements.

This is my eleventh year teaching social studies, and I still genuinely love what I do. American history is my favorite, but what I love most is helping students ask good questions, consider perspectives beyond their own, and understand how the past connects to the world around them.

Outside of the classroom, I advise Student Council and love finding ways for students to use their voices, take on leadership roles, and help make our school a place where everyone feels like they belong.

It is truly an honor to teach in the community that helped shape me. The culture at RMS-CES is one of a kind, and I am excited for another year of learning, laughing, and growing alongside our future Rockets!
