Fifth and Sixth Grade Choir

Welcome to Music!

The fifth sixth grade choir curricula at RMS-CES centers on the artistic processes of perform and respond. We follow the Minnesota Academic Standards in the Arts to provide a balanced and high quality music education. Students develop their singing, as well as, music knowledge and skills. We use standards based grading with grades being reported as 4, 3, 2, 1. A "3" represents meeting grade level standards. Please feel free to discuss your child's scores at any time during the quarter.

Both choirs perform three times each year: District Choral Festival Monday, October 22, 2018, RMS-CES Arts and Academics Showcase April 11, 2019 and Spring Concert Tuesday, June 4, 2019. It is awesome to see the development in singing in the course of a year and throughout middle school!
