Welcome! I am thrilled to be starting my thirteenth year with Rockford Area Schools as a third grade teacher at REAMS. Previously, I taught agriculture education for grades 5-8 and grades 5-6 writing at the Rockford Middle School. In 2012, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in English-Language Arts at the University of Wisconsin- River Falls. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to student teach at Rockford Elementary Arts Magnet School in the 3rd grade in 2012 and then began teaching 5th grade in 2013. In 2016, I earned my Master of Arts in Education degree at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.
As a teacher I believe that learning at its best happens when content and concepts are made meaningful for students. In addition, it is my goal to assist students in their growth to help others and contribute to our caring classroom community. I look forward to supporting the growth of each student this year. Let the third grade adventure begin!

Email is the best method of contact during the school day.
Phone conversations, in person meetings or virtual meetings are an option before or after school.
I look forward to open communication so we can work together to make school a place your third grader will thrive.
I grew up in Otsego, MN on a farm with my two brothers and many dairy cows. My husband, Eric and I live just outside of Rockford with our three sons on a small hobby farm. Together we enjoy tractor pulling and farming. My own hobbies include reading, baking, mowing the lawn, and spending time with family.
I look forward to learning all there is to know about each student who is part of our classroom!
