I am a 2010 graduate from Westview High School in Martin, TN. I graduated from UT Martin in 2015 with a Bachelor's of Science in Animal Science, Minor in English. In 2018, I graduated from the UT Martin Initial Licensure Master's Program. This year will be my third year at Clarksburg School. I love teaching English and enjoy exploring stories with students.
While I currently live in Mckenzie with my two dogs, Penelope and Precious. I love talking about my family and showing off my brother and sister's college step shows. In class, I always mention my brother and sister's dogs, Leroy and Dolly, who are always the subject of funny stories. In my spare time, I enjoy watching action movies, playing computer games, and aggravating my dogs. Some of my favorite hobbies include reading, and improving my skill in different art mediums.
My enjoyment of art inspired me to create an art club for my students. I initiated the Clarksburg Middle School Art Club my first year at Clarksburg and was excited to partner with Mrs. Maloney to initiate the High School counterpart for the 2019-2020 school year.
I hope this school year brings more awesome art to Clarksburg. I can't wait to sharing stories, ideas, and writings with this year's students!!
