Color Run - Frequently Asked Questions!
When and where is the Color Run?
The Color Run is Friday, September 12th from 5:30-6:30pm at Rock Creek Elementary School on the Playfield.
What is a Color Run?
We will have 2 designated tracks for students to run around. There will periodically be colored powder thrown in the air by volunteers while students are running. It is a fun-filled event that will wrap up our 2-week long fundraiser.
Is this a fundraiser?
Yes! The Color Run is one of our main fundraisers for this school year! Our fundraising goal is $20,000!
What does the fundraiser money go to?
Fundraising is essential for Rock Creek PTO to support programs and initiatives that directly benefit our Rock Creek students, teachers, and staff. The funds we raise help provide classroom grants, student scholarships, transportation for field trips, as well as student and family events like Movie Night, the Carnival, and the student store.
Additionally, our fundraising efforts allow us to enhance learning opportunities and support school-wide initiatives that may not be included in the regular budget. Last year, we were able to fund new ukuleles for the music class, supply materials for the art room, provide the 5th grade team with caps and gowns for their graduation ceremony and send all choir students to sing the National Anthem at a Tacoma Rainers Game. Without fundraising, these valuable programs would not be possible, so every contribution helps make a big difference in our students’ educational experience.

Can I attend even if I don’t raise any money?
YES!!! We would love to see all of our students and families at the event, regardless of your fundraising amount.
How do I donate to the fundraiser?
Please donate here.
How much should I donate?
Our goal for the school is to raise $20,000, and every donation—no matter the amount—makes a difference! We encourage families to give what they can, as all contributions help support our important programs and events. For those able to donate more, we offer fun incentives like individual prizes, class rewards, and exciting raffles. Generous donations can help us reach our fundraising goal faster and allow us opportunities to provide more for our Rock Creek community.

Bring a beach towel to clean off afterward and a change of clothes if preferred.
