Mrs. Balkey...

Background Info - I grew up in Roanoke and graduated from Cave Spring HS.  I earned my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration - Marketing from Radford University; and, my Master's degree in Career and Technical Education from VA Tech.

Teaching Career - I have been in education for 29 years. During this time I taught at :

• DSLCC Talent Search

• Parry McCluer HS

• Patrick Henry HS

• Rockbridge Co HS

I am married with three children. My husband was in public education for 33 years (7 of which were at RCHS). He is currently employed at W&L. 

My oldest daughter, Carolyn, is an RN at Augusta Health Surgery. She is married and expecting her first child.

My son, Thomas, graduated from RCHS in May 2022. He will soon graduate with his Business Management degree from MGCC.

My youngest daughter, Catherine, is a Senior at RCHS. 

I love spending time with family (including our dog, Bailey and cat, Evie) and friends.
