About CIS

Computer Information Systems is a year long course that is also offered for Dual Enrollment credit. The dual enrollment credit course is ITE 152 Introduction to Digital and Information Literacy and Computer Applications. 

This year-long course is designed to help students master the skills and knowledge they will need to effectively use computers in business and in life. Students will complete various projects in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and multimedia presentations using Microsoft Office programs.

Students enrolled in this course will have the opportunity to earn Microsoft Office Specialist certifications in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Certification testing is offered for free to all students enrolled in this course. In order to take Microsoft certification tests, a parent or guardian must complete and return the Certiport Consent Form.
