I grew up in Waynesboro and graduated from Stuarts Draft High School. Then I went to Blue Ridge Community College for my Associates degree before transferring to George Mason for my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts programs in English.

I love to travel. The picture to the left is from the Melk Abbey in Austria. I've travelled around most of Europe, so Egypt is next on my list.

I have a cat, Tom Sawyer, that I will talk about frequently. Be prepared.

I grew up in Waynesboro and graduated from Wilson Memorial High School in 2015. I then enrolled in Bridgewater College where I received my Bachelor's of Arts Degree in English in 2019. This is my second year teaching at RCHS.

I also love to travel. I've been to England, Germany, and many places within the U.S. The picture on the left was taken on top of the Berliner Dom in Berlin, Germany. Fun fact, one of my bucket list items is to visit all fifty states.

I love superhero movies and comics. I also have a cat named George that I love dearly. I have many pictures of him to show you if you ask! :)

My name is Sarah Leadbetter, and this is my 21st year of teaching at Rockbridge County High School. I was born and raised in Lexington and attended Waddell Elementary, Lylburn Downing Middle, and Lexington High School. I am an avid reader, and I am currently rereading Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart. My favorite fiction genre is horror, and I have read every Stephen King book, including his nonfiction works. I also enjoy writing and journaling, and I am a firm believer in civil discourse. Finally, I am an extreme dog lover, and I cannot remember a time in my life when I didn't have a dog friend. Currently, I have a rescue dog named Pearl, and she is my best buddy.

I grew up in Rockbridge County and have lived in Buena Vista since 1968. I graduated from Southern Seminary Junior College in Buena Vista with an Associate Degree in 1984. I earned my BA degree from Hollins College in Roanoke in 1988 and a Masters in Education from the University of Virginia in 2001.

I enjoy walking my husky, Mally, for exercise. To relax, I enjoy reading on my patio, taking trips on backroads to anywhere, and spending time with my grandchildren. My husband Mike and I enjoy beach trips when we feel the need to recharge.
