RCS SCHOOL SAFETY

CRISIS INTERVENTION AND RESPONSE

SAFE@RCS! Safe to School. Safe To Home!

The RCS School Safety plan is a confidential plan for the school district. Each year an annual School Safety Summit is conducted which includes all crisis teams, administrators, school resource officers, and specialized instructional support staff. Confidential Emergency response plans are submitted each year by each RCS school. All drills and safety guidelines are monitored through an RCS School Safety Checklist updated monthly by each school. School Safety is a top priority in Rockingham County Schools. School administer and crisis teams have access to a confidential school safety website with resources and supports. If anyone in RCS needs access, please contact Stephanie L. Ellis, Ed.D., NCPS for approval and access. Thank you!
