Mrs. Rachel Vernon

I look forward to working with your child this year as we work to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. Our goal is to learn something new each and every day. 

This is my first year as a Dillard dalmatian! I grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina and  received my undergraduate degree from NC State University in elementary education. I went through the Teaching Fellows program while in college and then taught second and third grade for thirteen years at Central Elementary. I was also teacher of the year in 2016 and became nationally board certified in 2019. In my free time, I enjoy reading, working out at the gym, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
