Communication:
Parents will receive a notice of any late or missing library books at the the end of each month. While there is no fine for overdue materials, but if the book is lost, you are responsible for paying for the replacement fee. Lost a Book?:
If a book is lost or damaged it must be paid for. Payment may be in the form of exact cash (change cannot be made and will not be given). Send the payment to school marked Attention Library. Students who have failed to pay for or return the missing book to the Library will not receive their final report card. Payment is refundable if a lost book is found and returned before the end of the school year.
Visiting before school:
Students in 5th-8th grade can visit the Library from 8:05-8:15 am Monday thru Friday to conduct library business, such as printing out essays, return library materials, working on projects, use their chrome-books, and use the library materials.
How many books? How long?:
Students in grades K-2 are allowed to check out 1 book.
Students in grades 3rd-5th grade are allowed to check out 2 books.
Students in 6-8th grade are allowed to check out 3 books.
If students need a book for a project then they are allowed to exceed their limit.
Library materials are due back in two weeks, or may be renewed if there are no hold requests.
If students finish a book early, they are more than welcome to return the book in the book-drop located inside the library.
Once a book is taken out of the library, it is the responsibility of the student to know where it is at all times.
It is the student’s responsibility to care for and return the book on time.
Students with books that are three or more weeks overdue WILL NOT be allowed to borrow other books until the overdue items are returned.
