Livermore Airport (LVK)

Robot Garden is renting three separate hangars at the Livermore Airport. We are also renting office & meeting space from Five Rivers Aviation (aka Five Rivers).

Newcomers and first time visitors will *always* meet at Five Rivers Aviation -- 700 Terminal Circle, Livermore, CA 94551

SPACES - Hangars

Hangar 91-1/2 (aka "hangar 91") is being used as parts fabrication space. This hangar hosts our 3D printers, laser cutter, CNC equipment and other advanced manufacturing tools.

Hangar 98 is being used for airplane construction. It also houses our sheetmetal tools and other fabrication equipment. This hangar is available for other fabrication projects as well.

Hangar 391 is being used to introduce our members and the larger public to aviation, drone and robotics technology. This hangar is available for meetings, fabrication and electronics/project assembly.

SPACES - Five Rivers Aviation

Five Rivers Aviation Office - Robot Garden maintains a small office at Five Rivers Aviation. This is for administrative use only.

Five Rivers Aviation Meeting Room - Robot Garden has use of this space on an as needed basis. It can be used on an ad-hoc basis if no one else is using it. But, to reserve the space in advance, contact the Five Rivers receptionist and request it for exclusive Robot Garden use for a specific time block. Five Rivers is officially open only from 6am-6pm. Contact Tom Manger to coordinate after hours access. Most Meetups at the airport will be held in this room, or they will start here before moving to one of the hangars.

ACCESSING ROBOT GARDEN HANGARS

The airport has a fence securing its perimeter. Access through the fence to the inside of the airport is through secure gates. Because of safety and security concerns, gate codes are only given to people who have been sufficiently trained to navigate inside the fence line.

The City of Livermore requires that individuals wishing to drive their vehicle inside the fence line take online training and agree to adhere to safety and security regulations. The City's safety information can be found on the airport's Ground Vehicle Driver Orientation Program. Robot Garden members and visitors wishing to drive inside the fence line must first take this training and fill out this form agreeing to the City's requirements.

Before giving out a gate code to access the airport, Robot Garden additionally requires that members and visitors take a personal tour of the airport interior to ensure that you are familiar with ground markings, vehicle movement, and the boundary of the non-movement area (runways & taxiways). To schedule a Vehicle Safety Tour, fill out the form below.
