What is the Licensing and Standards Board (the LSB)?
The LSB is a committee of representatives from each school in our district that oversees the renewal of educator licenses in our district.
What do we do?
As a board of fellow educators in your district, we assist you in renewing your license with the State of Vermont. In doing so, we approve the professional development that you submit to us as usable toward your renewal requirements. We also approve your licensing paperwork before it is sent to the state.
Who are your building representatives on this committee?
Bob Myers, Barstow, LSB Chair
Melanie Parker, Lothrop
John Brodowski, Neshobe
Christine Johnson, OCA @ Leicester, Sudbury & Whiting
Tracey Snow, Otter Valley, LSB Co-Chair
Do I have to attend the LSB meetings in order to renew my license?
No, please submit your paperwork using the ALiS portal from the AOE.
When does the LSB look over the paperwork I submit in ALiS?
We hold regular meetings our early release Fridays each month.
Please notify your building representative when you submit paperwork so we can look at it prior to meetings.
When does my renewal have to be completed by?
April 30th, 2024 - All license renewals for June 2024 are due to be submitted to the LSB through ALiS by this date.
If you need more time because you are involved in a pl activity that will run past this date, please let your building representative know.
Where are the forms I need?
At the top of this page you will see headings that go along with your current license situation. Please click on that heading to bring you to the appropriate page. All of the paperwork you need will be listed at the bottom of that page.
Please let your building representative know if we can answer any of your licensing questions. Thank you.
