Hello 6th and 7th grade history families! I hope everyone is ready to have an amazing 2026-2027 school year. This newsletter will keep you up-to-date with what we are covering in each class and if there are any important dates or events coming up.

Here is what we are learning in each class.

6th: Ancient Rome. We will cover the following topics: the Roman Republic, the Punic Wars, Julius Caesar, and the Fall of Rome. We will then learn about the Enlightenment Thinkers: Newton, Descartes, Hobbes, Locke, and Montesquieu.

7th: The 13 Colonies and the Revolutionary War. We will cover the following topics: Roanoke, Jamestown, Slavery in the colonies, the 3 colonial regions, the causes of the revolution, and the war.
