ABOUT OUR TEAM

Nursing Education, Training and Research (NETR) is located at the ground floor of Wing C Building. It is one of the areas under the Nursing Division which has four main functions. These main functions include but not limited to: (1) orientation of student affiliates and newly-hired/promoted nursing personnel (2) conduction of orientation and learning and development activities for all nursing personnel, (3) conduction of researches and/or case studies, and (4) ensure implementation of nursing care standards. 

NETR is under the direct supervision and guidance of the Nursing Chief. 

NETR orients Nursing Students Affiliates on the institutions vision, mission, core values, hospital policy, organizational structure and infrastructure. Students are also oriented by the NETR staff on the rules and regulations of Nursing Division that concerns completion of hours of their Related Learning Experience. 

NETR is responsible for developing an orientation program for all Nursing Division personnel to prepare the newly hired/ promoted staff prior to assumption of their duties and responsibilities. The NETR is also responsible in creating the course syllabus relevant to trainings and seminars needed by the staff.

NETR also facilitates conduction of nursing researches and cases studies to ensure that the nursing practices and decision are based on the best available evidence. Case studies are conducted to make sure that nurses are knowledgeable and equipped in handling medical, surgical, obstetric and pediatric cases and the like.

NETR also conducts regular rounds to specific areas of assignment to ensure that Nursing Care Standards are being observed and implemented across all the Nursing Unit of Rizal Medical Center. The NETR is also designated to conduct investigations and root cause analyses of issues and concerns within the Nursing Division.
