I have tried one or two projects that involved authentic learning, but I would like to try something out of my comfort zone or reach a larger audience
I have completed multiple authentic learning projects in my classroom and would like to connect with a larger audience or find new ideas to inspire me

Title - Passion Projects
Synopsis
A “Passion Project” is a student driven project that allows learners to use critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration, risk taking, and an opportunity to transfer what they learn with an authentic audience. To assist learners in this project the lead learner must give learners time to brainstorm what they are passionate about. Learners can share interests and connect with others for collaboration. Once the project is selected the learners will determine if their project can serve others and fill in a learner proposal to be approved upon by the lead learner. This proposal is integral and needs to be revisited during student/learner conferences throughout the project. Learners will have time to work during the school day, as seen fit, but they are also free to work at home or with a mentor leader as well. Every week students will complete a diary entry/blog to track progress. After about 3 weeks of working students will have a midpoint conference where they will develop their own rubric that will be used to evaluate their work and decide on a timeline of events needed to complete project by the learners selected date. Students will share their rubric for classmates to evaluate the end presentation of their Passion Project.
