Households having difficulty paying their rent and/or utilities should seek assistance through the Emergency Rental and Utility Assistance Program. Find out how to apply through the state’s COMPASS website.
Households with low incomes behind on their heating bills should apply to the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) today to get assistance. The window to apply to the program closes in April.

Our Goal
To assist district families experiencing homelessness and connect them with the appropriate community resources, as well as reduce the disruption in the educational lives of students in the district who are experiencing homelessness.

The Red Lion Area School District has three current school social worker, Ms. Duin, Mrs. Strausbaugh and Dr. Shealer. Mrs. Strausbaugh and Dr. Shealer are both graduates of the Red Lion Area School District and reside in our community. Mrs. Strausbaugh has two boys and Dr. Shealer has a son, who graduated from the York County School of Technology and a middle school-aged daughter.
Mrs. Strausbaugh is a licensed social worker and certified home and school visitor and school social worker.
Ms. Duin is a licensed social worker, with dual Masters degrees in Counseling Psychology and Social Work.
Dr. Shealer is a clinical social worker, certified home and school visitor and school social worker.
