Teaching Philosophy:
I believe that every child has a voice that deserves to be heard. My role as a teacher is to embrace my students' learning styles, cultural backgrounds, and authentic selves in our classroom community. I practice empathy and compassion to make each student feel important and accepted. Together we will build an inclusive and safe environment to celebrate our differences. I truly believe that with mutual respect and sense of belonging, children will succeed to their full potential.

I allow students to take control of their own learning, while differentiating to meet their individual needs. We will focus on establishing communication, resourcefulness, collaboration, flexibility, integrity, confidence, and a positive attitude in order to prepare them for a successful future. These traits will be strengthened through problem solving activities, social emotional learning lessons, passion projects, research, and group discussions. I know that each child has something to bring to the table and I want to help them develop a growth mindset so that they can believe in themselves.
