Student Policies

Guiding Principles

At WPHS we recognize that, very often, problem behaviors are the result of unsolved problems and lagging skills. It is the role of the adults on campus to work collaboratively with the student to identify the root causes of problem behaviors. This is accomplished utilizing the Collaborative and Proactive Solutions model. At the heart of the WPHS behavior policy is an effort to support young people to learn - to manage their emotions, to interact in positive ways, and to work through the challenges of daily life

We also recognize that at times student behavior may cause a danger to self and others - in such cases, the school must impose necessary action to ensure a safe learning environment for all.

Regardless of the severity of problem behaviors, consequences, and solutions, it is the intention of WPHS that all students are restored back to good standing and a sense of belonging in the school community. This approach to supporting students may include parents, administration, wellness center staff, Roseville PD, counselors, or others as appropriate.

Administrative Responsibility & Discretion: The site administration reserves the right to make determinations regarding student behavior not specifically outlined in this handbook.
