President
Job Description:
The President shall preside at meetings of the Board and shall exercise and perform such other powers and duties as the Board may assign from time to time. The President shall be the Chief Executive Officer and manager of the associations day-to-day activities in accordace with the goals set by the Board.
Vice President
Job Description:
If the President is absent or unable to serve, the Vice President shall perform all the duties of the President. When so acting, the Vice-President shall have all powers of and be subbject to all restrictions of the President.
Treasurer
Job Description:
Books of Account. The Treasurer shall keep and maintain, or cause to be kept and maintained, adequate and correct books and accounts of the corporation's properties and transactions. The Treasurer shall send or cause to be given to the directors such financial statements and reports as are required.Â
Deposit and Disbursement of Money and Valuables. The Treasurer shall deposit, or cause to be deposited, all money and other valuables in the name and to the credit of the corporation.Â
Secretary
Job Description:
Book of Minutes. The Secretary shall keep or cause to be kept ... a book of minutes all meetings, proceedings, and actions of the Board, and committees of the Board. .... The Secretary shall keep or cause to be kept a copy of the Articles of Incorporation and the Bylaws as amended to date.
Notices, Seal, and Other Duties. The Secretary shall give notice of all meetings of the Board and of its committees as required by the Bylaws.Â
Secretary keeps and maintains voting membership, as well as Board of Directors votes.
Board Members do not have to be present at every event, but will oversee the various committees under their directorship.
Transportation Director
Works closely with Band Director; coordinates and maintains the trailers for safety, coordinates and engages in outreach to potential trailer drivers.
Hospitality Director
Works closely with Band Director and Oversees hospitality committee at all events, including Fall Marching Band, Winter Percussion and Guard, as well as Band Camps and Super Saturday practices.
Financial Secretary
Works closely with, or is, the treasurer and the auditor, as well as Band Director for all things related to finances, including payables, receivables, budgets, taxes, etc.
Membership Director
Works with and maintains ABBA Booster members.
Auditor (Director)
Works closely with Executive Board to ensure that Bylaws are followed, including, but not limited to: Validation of budget, validation of meeting minutes approval, validation of voting processes, verification of tax filings
Fundraising Director
Works closely with Executive Board, particularly Secretary Secretary and Treasurer, as well as Band Director, to facilitate multiple and varied fundraising opportunities for the Band, including Fireworks Booth and Concert Venue Opportunities.
Social Media Director
Creation of pre-approved (By Band Director and/or Board) social media posts related to band-specific activities, including Marching Band Competitions, Winter Percussion & Guard Competitions, Parades, and additional various band events.
Pit Crew Director
Coordinates parents for Pit Crew volunteering at every event where pit crew is needed, including Fall Marching Season & Winter Percussion and Guard.
Inventory & Uniform Director
Creates and maintains an accurate inventory of the shed, using digital software--Google Sheets.
Additionally, works with student Uniform Manager to coordinate uniform assignments and try-ons, including Fall Marching Season, Winter Percussion & Guard, as well as Jazz Band and Concert Blacks.
Hospitality/Events Coordinator
This position works closely with the Hospitality Director, the Events Coordinator, and the Treasurer to help plan and coordinate ABBA-sponsored events throughout the year
