RJUHSD Learning Management System
RJUHSD's adoption of the Canvas platform for learning continues to build momentum. After our first training in June 2022, the % of RJUHSD teachers using Canvas jumped to 32% in August 2022, and rose to 42% by January 2023. We anticipate further growth in August 2023, especially after 250 teachers attended training in June 2023.
As the 2023-24 school year begins, Canvas continues to provide staff, teachers, parents, and students with a reliable learning hub that integrates digital learning tools used by teachers and students. Canvas also connects parents to their students' learning by providing observer roles in students' RJUHSD courses (see the Parent tab at the top right of this site for instructions).
It's worth noting that all 10 of the colleges most commonly attended by RJUHSD graduates are using Canvas, including the UC, CSU, and California community college systems. Many out of state colleges use Canvas as well, both public and private, including Columbia, Brown, Yale, Dartmouth, and Stanford, to name a few. In addition to having learning tools all in one place, Canvas is the learning platform that most of our students will be using in college, so we are preparing our students for future success.
If your student's teachers are using Canvas already, they can provide links and instructions to log in, but there is also help on our student tab above. The web address to access Canvas is rjuhsd.instructure.com and students can simply use their district login info from there to get in.
