Greetings, Riverwalk Families!

Spotlight of the Week - Farewell to Mrs. Hughes

I would like to take this moment to spotlight Mrs. Hughes. Mrs. Hughes joined our school in August 2020, first as a classroom teacher and later as our Math Interventions and Support specialist. Her last day with us will be Friday, October 3. We are so grateful for the dedication and hard work she has given to Riverwalk. Mrs. Hughes will be deeply missed and will always remain part of our Pride.

Greetings parents,

All lessons this month went great! I enjoyed every class.

I am excited to say that Mrs. Burns and I are starting Rivers' Pantry to help Riverwalk families in need. Donations start this week. Please see the flyer below and my Elementary Counselor Happening this Month page on our counselors' website for more information.

I am here to support your child’s growth.

If you ever have any concerns or questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.

All about lunch: Please go to EZSchoolApps to set up an account and order lunches. Despite the name, it is not available as an app on your phone. Please use a web browser. *PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ORDER MEALS BY 6pm the day before, otherwise the meals ordered will not be processed in time for the student to receive the meal.

All sales are final, no refunds available; however, at times a credit will be made to the account.

If your student needs an emergency meal, DO NOT order or email, CALL the front office.

All emergency meals consist of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, fruit and a drink, unless permitted by allergies.

If you need any assistance with ordering, please contact Mrs. Burns.

*There has been a recent change, we have a new caterer for our hot meals. She is an ower of a local business and a Riverwalk Parent and we are happy to begin this new partnership. Due to this change - all orders must be placed earlier than before; it is now 6pm the day before. This means no changes the day of the meal.

This week's menu:

Monday: Turkey corn dogs, french fries, fruit, milk

Tuesday: Hibachi chicken, fried rice, sweet carrots, yum yum sauce, fruit, milk

Wednesday: Beef nachos, Spanish rice, lettuce, cheese sauce, fruit, milk

Thursday: Cheese pizza, garden salad with ranch, fruit, milk

Friday: No lunch served

Events this week:

Friday: Early Release day - Dismissal at 11am

Athletics: Cross country, Swim, and Volleyball all have events. Cheer began competitions this last weekend.
