Suggested activities you can do with the Word Work flash cards:
You can either print out a copy of the flash cards or copy them onto index cards to keep at home. You may also create an online flash card set through Quizlet.
Memory Match - say the words as you turn them over
Word Search - Look for words around you: in books, on signs, on tv, ...
Read It, Write It, Build It - Use objects (cereal, legos, candy, Play-Doh...) to build words after reading it and writing it
Read It, Write It, Draw It - Same as above, but draw a fancy picture of the word
Flashlight Search - Turn out the lights and use a flashlight to search for the words and read them aloud.

Memory Match - solve problems as you turn them over
Top-It - This is like the card game "War". The difference is that the winner of the hand has the highest answer.
Beat the Clock - See how many facts can be accomplished in 1 minute. Try to beat your time the next game.
Flashlight Search - Turn out the lights and use a flashlight to search to read the fact and answer it.
Lava Game - Scatter flash cards on the floor. Pretend the floor is Lava. Jump from one flash card to another saying the answer before jumping onto the card. If you say the right answer, you are safe. If you say the wrong answer, you fall into the Lava and must start again! Time yourself to see how quickly you can get across the lava!
