All students in middle school will have 6 core classes that they attend each day. Students receive attendance and grades for these classes. All students will take the same grade level PE, Science, and Social Studies courses (with some exceptions for students with disabilities). For ELA, Math, and Electives, students and parents do have a choice in which course they take. Please see the information below for details on the course options.

Students may be placed in one of four courses for ELA: Honors, Structured, Grade Level, or Newcomer/ELD.
Please click on the image above for additional information and requirements for each course. All courses cover grade level material, but at different depths and pacing.
Students may be placed in one of two math courses: Accelerated Math or Grade Level Math. Completing accelerated math for both 7th and 8th grade will result in students earning high school credit for Math 1.
Please click on the image above for things to consider when selecting your math course.
All students are able to select an elective as one of their core courses. Please click on the image above for more information about the elective courses offered.
Please read through the course descriptions carefully to ensure you are selecting the best course option for you or your student's needs.
Please note: Students with an IEP or English Language needs may not be able to select their elective based on the specifics of their individualized plan.
All students are enrolled in a 35 minute additional course that they attend four days each week (not Wednesdays). This course begins as a silent reading/study hall course where students will learn about school-wide expectations, organization, and study skills.
At the end of September, students will have the opportunity to sign up for various clubs that meet during this time and would take the place of this class. Additional information will be presented to students and sent home to parents once the school year begins.
