Welcome to the RUSD High School Summer School Program Info Page! The high school summer program is designed to help students looking to get ahead, catch up on credits, or enroll in enrichment opportunities.
Dates: Session 1: June 3-June 16; Session 2: June 17-July 1, 2026
Schedule: Classes run Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:05 PM.
Eligibility: The program is open to all students entering grades 9-12 for the upcoming school year.

Summer school classes will be held at the following school sites.
Arlington High School - Seat-Based
JW North High School - Seat-Based
Martin Luther King High School - Seat-Based
Poly High School - Seat-Based
Ramona High School - Seat-Based
Riverside Virtual School** - Virtual (for current high school students only)
Educational Options Center** - Hybrid Program (for current 12th graders only)
**Student-Athletes who are applying for NCAA Eligibility should NOT participate in the summer options with ** next to them. (RVS or EOC)
Summer School Applications
Application deadline: March 16th, 2026
Current High School Students - Summer School Application (Spanish Version) - Students will return completed paper applications to their high school counselor.
Current 8th Grade Students - High School Summer School - 8th grade Application Link - Parents, please complete the digital application found in the link. Descriptions of the CTE Introductory courses offered for current 8th graders can be found here.
Requesting a course does not guarantee that the course will be offered. Course availability will depend on the number of summer school applications received by March 16, 2026 for each course and teacher availability. A waitlist will be available after Spring Break.
Waiting List Information
Students who want to apply for courses after the close of applications on March 16th will be able to submit a waitlist application beginning in April.
