IB Diploma seniors who are finalizing the requirements of the IB Diploma must be enrolled in the proper coursework. Course enrollment must include IB English HL2, IB Spanish SL/IB Chinese SL, IB Biology HL or IB Chemistry HL, IB Math Apps SL or IB Math Analysis HL or IB Math Analysis SL (AP Calculus), and a 6th course/elective which can be a second science or IB Theatre or IB Music or IB History HL, plus TOK (Theory of Knowledge during first semester). The IB Economics SL course and exam is completed in 11th grade.
Diploma candidates MUST have 6 IB course areas and exams including English, Spanish/Chinese, Economics, Science (Biology or Chemistry), Math, and an elective (IB course in a 2nd science, theater, music, or history). At least 3 exams/courses must be at the higher level (HL). Students should talk with their counselor (North Guidance Website) or Mrs. Schive (IB coordinator) if they have questions or concerns regarding course enrollment or sequencing.

Students beginning the junior year and planning to complete the requirements for the IB Diploma must be enrolled in proper coursework. Course enrollment must include IB English HL1, Spanish 3 honors/Chinese 3 honors (or a level higher), IB Economics SL, one of Math 3/Math 3 Accel/AP Calculus/IB Math Apps SL, TOK (Theory of Knowledge during semester 2), and at least one of the following: IB Theatre SL, IB Music SL, AP European History (year 1 of IB History HL), IB Chemistry HL1.
