Work Permits
A Work Permit is a legal document required by the State of California which allows a person under 18 years of age to work.
How to get a Work Permit?
1. Pick-up or download a Work Permit application at the Student Center Room 200 from Ms. Páramo.
2. Fill out the personal information at the top of the Work Permit, get one of your parents and your prospective employer to sign and date the document.
3. Once the Work Permit has been signed by you, parent, and employer, return the completed Work Permit to Ms. Páramo at EOC in Room 200. The Work Permit will then be processed. Ms. Páramo will email you or call your parent to notify that the Work Permit is ready to be picked up. Student has to pick up Work Permit since they must sign for it.
4. Take the completed Work Permit back to your prospective employer & you're ready to START work!
5. Check in with your Advisor Teacher for details on how you can EARN Elective CREDITS. *1 elective credit for every 36 hours worked!
