This protest took place across the globe, thousands of Australians joining in to protest against situations that were majorly contributing to climate change. This strike resulted in some major climate-positive change as governments scrambled to protect the planet and make the change so many were petitioning for. Air and rise in temperature leads to extreme weathers- the drought in Australia that lead to so many animals perishing, and the bushfire that lead to even more fauna deaths and 34 human lives, including children, were a result of climate change causing dry land. Hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, and floods all across the world have lead to loss of human life. Even seemingly small problems such as less rain in some areas result in famines and poverty which may lead to people starving to death. Through not making a change, we are ruining the only planet we have, which is leading to up to 5 million human deaths a year due to climate change. Climate change has disastrous affects on not only our planet but life across the globe.
