Kasandera Knief is a 2015 graduate of Indian Lake High School in Lewistown, Ohio. During her time at Indian Lake, she was actively involved in the band and choir program. In 2019, she graduated from Bluffton University with a degree in Music Education. She was actively involved in ensembles such as Camerata Singers, University Chorale, Concert Band, Gospel Choir, and musical. She was also a member of Ohio Collegiate Music Educators Association.

Upon graduation, Miss Knief was hired at Riverside where she directs 5-12 band, including jazz, marching, and pep. She also teaches 3rd, 4th, and 7th grade general music.
