About Mrs. Lazor

My name is Mrs. Lazor and this will be my first year teaching 6th grade ELA and SS. This is my 7th year teaching at Cherry Hill School and 13th year teaching in total! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University, along with a Minor in Elementary Math and Art. I also have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University.

I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After college I moved to Fairfax County, Virginia for a fifth grade teaching position. I lived and taught in Virginia for four years before moving to New Jersey in 2015.

My husband and I have two little boys, Weston and Roman. It is really fun watching them learn new things! Weston is five and Roman is four!

I have one sister that lives in Pittsburgh. I also have 2 nieces and 3 nephews there as well.

In my free time I love to visit my family in Pittsburgh. I am a huge sports fan and enjoy going to Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins games whenever I get the chance! I also love art. I thought in high school I wanted to be an art teacher, but later changed my mind in college and only added an art education minor. I still love to draw and paint at home when I get time! In the Spring of 2016, my husband and I adopted two kittens. We named them AWOL and Gonzo.
