ALL ABOUT ME!

I'm so excited to be teaching fourth grade at Cherry Hill School!  In my teaching past I've taught second, third, fifth, Basic Skills and Gifted and Talented students. I earned a master's degree in Reading Specialization from Kean University. I also graduated from West Chester University in Pennsylvania with a degree in Elementary Education.  This is my 20th year teaching elementary students. In April 2024, Mrs Heitman announced my name for Cherry Hill School's Teacher Of The Year for 2024-2025! My entire class screamed with happiness! I love my job!  :)

My husband and I have two amazing children, Shawn and Elizabeth. Shawn graduated from the University Of Rhode Island as a mechanical engineering major. He is now working for a company that builds submarines! Such a cool job!

My daughter Elizabeth is attending the University Of Rhode Island as a marketing major. Elizabeth is also dancing for URI's Club Dance Team. She has been dancing since she was two and a half. She was a competitive dancer for a local dance studio and captain for her high school's varsity dance team!  Elizabeth's high school dance team had been crowned national champions all four years she danced on the varsity team. Through hard work and balancing dancing and academics, Elizabeth became a beautiful dancer as she earned very good grades! 

We recently added a puppy to our family! Dakota is a crazy loving Golden Retriever who keeps us on our toes. She loves treats, ice cubs and apple slices.

In my spare time I love to read mystery books while sitting under an umbrella on the beach watching my children ride their boogie boards in the ocean. I'm a big New Jersey Devils, Yankees and Giants fan! My favorite children's author is Chris Van Allsburg.
