Boosters funds are placed into three pools of money in the Balanced Funding approach:
1. Grant Requests
2. Activity Allowances
3. Signature Project
Grant Requests
Grant Requests are funded from a designated pool of money that any of the Booster sponsored activities can submit a grant request for. Any Boosters sponsored activity can fill out a grant request for purchases that exceed their activity allowance.
Grant Application Process
Grant requests will be submitted to the Athletic Director using this application form
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KjvmFPS2OETDT-gYiUA7NXWI5PxsfuFfXccGjTUJjog/edit?usp=sharing
The requests will be presented at a designated time during Boosters meetings. The voting membership will vote to approve or deny the request.
Decisions will be based in part on participation in Booster activities (meeting attendance, volunteering, concessions, fundraising, etc).
Grant requests will only be considered if the amount requested exceeds the amount in the activity allowance.
More About the Grant Funding Pool of Money
A maximum of 40% of the grant request pool will be designated for Fall activities (includes band and choir)
A maximum of 31% of the grant request pool will be designated for Winter activities
A maximum of 29% of the grant request pool will be designated for Spring activities
At the end of the fiscal year, any unused money from this fund will remain in the grant account, with the total not to exceed $50,000 held in the account. Any amount over $50,000 would go into the Signature Project Fund account.
