Ka kōrekoreko ōku karu i te tini o ngā whetū i tuarangi
My eyes are dazzled by the multitude of stars in space.
Mrs Peck left Mr Bron strict instructions to write to us and let is know what our Inquiry would be about this term. Today we received a letter from Mr Bron. He told us our Inquiry this term is all about SPACE. We were thrilled!
He told us that we will spend the first half of the term learning about space and the second half of the term learning about Matariki.
The teachers wanted to know what we already know about space and what we would like to know. Well, teachers, we know HEAPS and we can’t wait to show you!
We worked in collaborative groups to brainstorm EVERYTHING we knew and wow, there was A LOT! Take a look at our organisers.
The teachers took some of the questions we had and found us some useful websites and YouTube videos to answer the questions for us. They called this…
“Poutama Space Quest!”
We have ten stops to make in order to complete our Space Quest. Can you believe the teachers are going to give us 50 snidges for each quest we complete.
So… the more we learn, the more we earn!
Sounds pretty good to us!
Each stop we make on our Quest, the teachers will sign our Space Passport to say we have completed it.

We are loving taking part in the Space Quest. There are links to websites and videos to help us answer all of our questions on our Space Quest Page. Below are a few photos of us and our work.
We took some time to work through the Success Criteria for the next part of the challenge. We need to choose our own questions to investigate, research and then present to the rest of the team.
There are four key components to this task. Our presentation must be factual, people must be able to understand what we are trying to say, It is important to think about who will be seeing our presentation. We want our questions to be something they will enjoy learning about too.
Here's what we came up with...
Ask Isaiah, Liam V and Brayden to host a Kahoot!
Ask Amber and Sophia to play their game
Ask Ethan and Lucas to play their Kahoot.
Luca W made a snap game. You need to match up the planet image to the planet's name in Te Reo Māori. If you would like to play, please ask Luca.
