Thank you for visiting my page!  I have called Portland my home since 1997, but grew up in Southern California.  I earned my BA in Communications and Sociology at UCSB and my Masters in Special Education from PSU.  This will be my 25th year teaching.  I spent most of the first 23 years working with students with special needs, and transitioned a couple years ago to teaching social studies at Riverdale. This will be my 12th year teaching at Riverdale, and prior to that, I taught at Centennial Middle School near Gresham and spent the 2005/2006 school year teaching math and science abroad in Costa Rica. I love to travel, exercise, be outside, and spend time with my 15 year-old daughter.
