In third grade, we will be working on further developing good, organized study skills. One place to start is at home. Each student should find a place at home where they can do their homework.
Expect about 20-30 minutes of homework per night. This includes 15-20 minutes of “pleasure” reading. This reading could include anything from their chapter book or book project preparation.
Your child will have math homework once a week. If a problem or concept is still confusing to your child, especially when you find yourself spending a lot of time reviewing/reteaching a topic, please let me know so that I can address it in class.
Weekend homework will be research and preparation for their speech (twice a year), and a book project (twice a year).
