Become a part of the mission!

River City Search & Rescue does not receive funding through an agency or county. We are 100% dependent upon donations from members of the community in order to provide the necessary equipment to our volunteers.

What does my donation pay for?

People who volunteer for search and rescue teams make an incredible investment into gear, training, and responses. The average team member can spend more than $1,000 on gear, training, and supplies (several times that if a K9 handler). Donations received benefit members directly. Our top three funding priorities are general liability insurance, training, and equipment. There is no compensation given to members. Instead, we use the funds to host or travel to training courses. Many courses have registration fees of several hundred dollars.

Is my donation tax deductible?

YES! River City Search & Rescue, Inc. is recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 organization, which affords a 50% deduction for any donations!

Do you have a wish list? I would rather purchase the items and then donate them to you.

Heck yeah we have a wish list! Click here to see what's on it.

Business Owners - You can help too!

RCSAR is like any other organization: we have certain needs that we struggle to fulfill. You can help us by making a tax deductible in-kind donation for goods or services. Below are a few services/products that are difficult for us to maintain.

  • A secure mailbox (MUST have street address)
  • Printing - As you can imagine, we do a ton of printing of flyers, somewhere around 250 for each case
  • Liability Insurance
