Early Help is a range of services working together to help children, young people (0 – 19) and their families. Early Help can be provided through both School, Family Hubs and within the local community. This provision aims to reach children, young people and families when the need first emerges; and to help and support when we can have the greatest impact. Early help services are part of a continuum of support which enables practitioners to respond to the different levels of need children and families may experience and are in place to support you, your family and your children in a variety of cases.
Early help offer a range of services to support families who need access to services and organisations such as:
Family Support for short-term parenting and behaviour support.
Group support including support for managing anger in children and young people and how we best support them.
Family Hubs also offer a range of services to families of children aged 0 - 5 years including parenting groups, speech and language, baby massage etc. They focus on vulnerable families, with the main provision being the 0 - 2 year pathway which supports families from pregnancy to their 2 year old checks
