Be Bold: Give Students Edit Access to Your Presentations

One way to increase active student engagement during a lesson is to give students edit access to your slides. Ask questions and instead of waiting for hands to be raised, ask them to add a slide to the presentation. This allows more students to participate and helps with wait time to give students the time they need to think.

Before sharing your presentation with edit access to the students, use the version history in Google Slides to name the current version "Template." This makes it easy to revert back to the pre-student contribution version at any time.
