In our current society the most popular governmental system is democracy, however, for the most part, it does not directly imply that it is the best way to rule a population.
Democracy should mean justice and inclusivity, but in the recent years it has not been successful.
A big percentage of Spain´s population does not involve themselves in politics of any kind, so much so, that there is a big group of people that does not even vote. This problem revolves around the fact that the spanish politicians are not taken seriously, because they are not prepared enough, nor do they try to change that; this automatically influences the view citizens have on them and their will to participate in these types of activities.
For the most part, people do not even have a formed opinion, so when the time to decide the future of our country comes, there is a lack of people whose votes are actually thought through.
With all of this said, our society has not found a better system yet, so the best solution would be to try to improve the issues that we know, for a fact, are not functioning correctly, until we end up with the best possible structure.
Film literacy is a great way of learning new languages, taking in the fact that you are obliged to try to understand the movie you are watching, by listening to what the actors are saying while reading the subtitles, so that you associate the sounds and phonetics of a word, with how it is spelled.
In my own experience, it has been of great help, and one of the most important strategies I have used to learn the English language. By forcing me to pay attention to the pronunciation of different words, and making me search for the meaning of expressions I did not know.
Film literacy is also very useful when it comes to learning about other cultures and traditions, it gives us an inside look into a different way of living; and even small details, such as the appearance of an English house, or how they are used to dress... However, these kind of things are not always accurate, so you need to take them with a grain of salt.
All in all, consuming cinematic content in a different tongue than our mother one, has been proved to help with our cognitive and communication skills. and it is recommended by experts to master any language.
Lastly, it is obviously a much more enjoyable experience than our usual textbooks.
