Welcome to the Rits Super Global Forum 2022! Hello everyone. We are delighted to host the 9th Rits Super Global Forum. Being with so many brilliant and eager young minds is a true pleasure. It is such an honor for Ritsumeikan Junior and Senior High School to have you with us for this event, both online and in person this year.

I hope that young future leaders like yourselves will find effective ways to solve the various challenges we might face. I also hope that you will realize our goal is not only to solve social problems and develop the economy but also to build world peace without tragic war. In addition, there is a need for global leaders who will lead the way in solving these issues.

As all of you know, RSGF is an international student conference coordinated by Ritsumeikan. It is a forum where students from around the world can intensively engage in various cross-cultural exchange activities. Sharing multiple perspectives through such collaborative actions is necessary to solve the world's problems today. Throughout the event, I encourage you to challenge yourselves to listen to each other and understand with an open mind. Please remember to respect and acknowledge the views shared by everyone at RSGF 2022.

Lastly, I would like to thank the principals, teachers from the participating schools, and many others for their understanding and support in organizing RSGF 2022 in person and online.  I hope the RSGF will provide an opportunity for students and teachers to freely build cross-border networks, which will be even more valuable in future activities as the next generation of global leaders.

Hello everyone! 

It is truly an honor to be with everyone from all over the world and to share this exciting gathering. 

This week we are celebrating the ninth anniversary of RSGF.  I would like to thank everyone who helped organize the event this year. It will be our first attempt to hold a hybrid event. We are excited to have you participating in this event and working together toward the same goal.

As you know, the food crisis has become more serious over the past few years.  We have become familiar with this problem due to soaring food prices. Food is necessary to sustain life for every living thing and plays an important role in our daily lives. 

Now is the time to think about what we can and should do. The main theme of RSGF 2022 is "Sustainable food for us all - How can we overcome the food problems related to environmental issues?" We have set up four topics to help us better grasp the issues from different aspects. We will focus on problems concerning food related to the Environment, Industry/Economy, Poverty, and Health/Well-being. 

To find the best solution, we need to share various perspectives on this issue and go beyond what we already know. This year, 193 students from 13 countries or areas will participate in this event and think about these problems together. 

In addition to discussions, during the week there will be special classes from foreign teachers, cultural exchange events, Japanese cultural experiences, and fieldwork. We will often use Live streaming so that online participants can enjoy the Forum too. May we enjoy sharing our ideas and learning from each other! Let’s do our best to make our world a better place!
