RIS PHOENIX SQUADS

The RIS Phoenix Swim Club offers several different squad levels to accommodate swimmers, starting with our Junior Development Squad, through to our Senior Age Squads. All swimmers will be assessed prior to being placed into a squad.  Although our age groups vary depending on skill sets, most of the swimmers in the Phoenix Swim Team Squads range between 8 and 18 years of age (Grade 3 - Grade 12).

Squads

We offer several different squad levels within the RIS Phoenix Swim Club. *All new swimmers in the Phoenix Swim Club are initially assessed and placed into the most appropriate squad.

Junior Development Squad

This is our earliest squad, which welcomes swimmers who graduate from the Learn-to-Swim and Pre-Squad program. Swimmer's are generally between the ages of 8 and 12, although this squad welcomes swimmers of all ages. JD Squad swimmers are encouraged to compete in Junior BMAC events, monthly RIS Splash'n'Dash meets and other local junior meets in and around Bangkok throughout the year.

Practice Days: 

Intermediate (Inter) Squad

This squad welcomes swimmers between 11 and 13 years of age. The main focus of the Inter Squad is to continue improving competitive stroke technique, introduce essential racing and practice skills, and begin to build swimming endurance. Inter Squad swimmers compete in BMAC, RIS Splash'n'Dash meets and other local international school events in Bangkok.

Junior/Senior Age Squad

These squads are designed to accommodate our most advanced swimmers, between the ages of 13 and 18. Swimmers in the Junior and Senior Age Squad compete in both international school and Thailand Swimming Association competitions, including BMAC and SEASAC.
